The Blog
Dive into intimate, inspiring (and slightly taboo) stories
My blog is where I share from my heart. I write about motherhood, money, intimacy, becoming sovereign, and so much more. You can also find my recipes here.

Carrot + Coriander Soup
I love carrot + coriander soup. Delicious! I was really happy when I threw this together the other day. The addition of the coconut yoghurt really added a great deal.
Easy Raw Chocolates
Easy to make. No homogenised, pasteurised, or any milk of any kind. No refined sugar. Raw cacao, so full of nutrients! What else could you want? Amazing flavour? It has that too. If you have been too scared to make raw chocolates before, delve in - there is nothing to be scared about - it is simple and the outcome is to be marvelled!
Hempesan
Beyond easy! You can mix up the type of seeds you use, cashews work well too, although you would then have to call it ‘pumpesan’ (pumpkin seeds) or ‘cashes’ (you get the idea!).
Enjoy on pasta dishes, on soups…basically anywhere you want! I have yet to meet someone who does not love this.
Homemade Thai Curry Sauce
I didn’t think I would ever be posting a curry recipe that used chilli. I am so averse to really spicy food. We never had it growing up so I am not used to it. However, Riverford kept sending chillis to me last year so I started to experiment. I love that I can make this sauce super quickly, and use it as a base to a very quick evening meal. I soak the rice in the morning and then throw it all together later, ready for dinner. I have included how I use the sauce in the blog post, but you could use it however you fancy.
'Cheese' + Wild Garlic Scones (Vegan + GF)
This recipe is adapted to be vegan and gluten free from a recipe that came in our monthly Mud + Bloom seasonal gardening + craft box. I strongly recommend the boxes, they are so beautifully put together.
I wasn’t sure if this would work because I haven’t had a load of luck with gluten free, vegan scones before, but it worked really well.
Pear Almond Cinnamon Cake
One of Caleb’s favourite cakes, even though he hates pears!?! It is a great way to use up pears that are getting a little too ripe, or just to use pears because the cake tastes good!
Really good served with CoYo coconut yoghurt. A nice breakfast cake too, if you feel so inclined!
Chia Seed Breakfast Pudding
Savannah’s favourite breakfast. Make it the night before for an easy, fibre packed, omega 3 rich breakfast, topped with fresh fruit and cacao nibs.
Banana Cake
When I was first dating Josh his mum wanted to bake me a cake. He still lived with his mum (at 29 years old), so when I visited him, I visited her too. Amanda loves to bake, but didn’t know how she was going to make a vegan cake. A quick google, with the help of Josh’s cousin Caroline, and she came across a banana date cake. I was not gluten free at the time, but when Caleb came along Amanda baked this cake for him, and he loved it, so as we became gluten free as a family, 7 years ago now, I had to adapt the recipe. This is how it ended up…and I replaced the dates with chocolate, because we all prefer it that way!
Tomato, Courgette & Borlotti Bean Soup
Born out of a glut of tomatoes and courgettes in my veg boxes all through last year, the whole family love this easy to make and nutritious soup.
Healthy Tiffin
My friend Ania introduced me to raw chocolate, and this is very similar to the first thing she made me. It is so simple and full of nourishment. I hope you love it as much as we all do.
Simple Sacred Cacao Drink
Keep it simple and pure and let the cacao plant's magic work through your body and soul. Drink in ceremony to yourself, at least once a day!
Cauliflower Leek 'Cheese' Soup
When you have 5 cauliflowers in your fridge then this recipe is a must! I do have 5 cauliflowers on purpose by the way…Caleb (my 11 year old son) loves cauliflower rice…sadly less so this soup, but if he enjoys it in another form that is fine with me. I love this soup. Warming and hearty. I hope you enjoy it too.
Teff Raisin Oat Cookies
I cannot tell you how many recipes I have invented over the last 9 years. So many! Most of them ended up in my online cleanses I run, and as I invented them I didn’t create a well organised collection of them (soon to be fixed!). A friend of mine told me she still makes these for her children, so I asked her to send me the recipe to remind me of it. When I made them today they were not the ones I was thinking of, but delicious. I will dig out the chocolate covered teff biscuits I was thinking of for another day. For now, enjoy these!
Gluten Free & Vegan Mince Pies
Not my favourite growing up, but now a firm favourite in our household, although not easy to find gluten free and vegan. This is a wholesome recipe, that I hope you will enjoy.
Carrot Cake with Cashew Frosting
My homeschooling mama friend, Emily, made this for when we went round to her house for a playdate, and I fell in love! It is beyond good. Emily has made it several times since, and so have I. Me being me, I have of course edited the original recipe which came from the Unconventional Baker, and this is what I share with you today.
Mint Choc Chip Green Smoothie
This vegan mint choc chip green smoothie is super easy to make and really hits the spot. It’s particularly good for breakfast but it is delicious at any time of the day. It is your healthy alternative to mint choc chip ice cream - you’re welcome!
Homemade, Veg Packed, Tomato Sauce
It is so wonderful to be able to make something simple, that packs in the veggies, and that everyone in the family loves.
What is also wonderful about this recipe is that it makes enough to freeze. Win, win on every count!
Fudgey Chocolate Courgette Cake
The ever evolving cake!
This recipe took several attempts to perfect, inspired by a recipe my good friend Tamsin gave me, but quite far removed from the original, as I love to play with recipes to make them my own.
This is a firm favourite amongst friends and family, and I challenge anyone to not enjoy it, even if they are not vegan or gluten free!
Chaga Cacao Latte
Chaga is a medicinal mushroom. I know, I know…mushroom latte!? I promise you it is delicious though…earthy but deliciously so! If you haven’t started including Chaga into your daily routine yet, here are a few reasons why you might decide to:
Gingerbread Cookies
Everything ginger please! I love everything about it: what it does for our bodies, how it smells, how it tastes. I am lucky in that all of my family share the same love.
