Hempesan

Beyond easy! You can mix up the type of seeds you use, cashews work well too, although you would then have to call it ‘pumpesan’ (pumpkin seeds) or ‘cashes’ (you get the idea!).

Enjoy on pasta dishes, on soups…basically anywhere you want! I have yet to meet someone who does not love this.

Ingredients:

  • 50% hemp seeds (I also use activated pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds, but as I said you can also use cashews)

  • 50% nutritional yeast

  • Sea salt to taste

Method:

  1. I am not giving you exact proportions because you may want to make loads all at once and store it in the fridge, but I usually make it with 1/2 cup of each, and it lasts us 2-3 meals.

  2. You basically just blend it. I have a Vitamix but it can be too powerful and make it sticky, so I use a handheld mini-blender - the chopper accessory shown in the list of attachments here. Blend it really briefly, but long enough so it is all broken up and combined.

  3. Done - enjoy - everywhere!
