This podcast was previously The Sounds of the Rising.
Episode 20. Self-Inquiry: A conversation with Alice Nicholls
I thought I might title this episode 'Trigger Warning', as I mention in the intro, but as I made the image in Canva, I rested on Self-Inquiry as a softer introduction to this deeply explorative conversation. Alice is someone I have known virtually from the other side of the world now for 4 years. I have had the joy of meeting her in the flesh once; I hope with every ounce of my being that the world shifts + I will have that opportunity again.
Episode 19. Creativity + Healing: A conversation with Anna Michalska
Rarely in life do you meet someone as kind + giving as my friend Anna. She is known to all that meet her as a truly gentle soul, who gifts those who meet her with her truly magical presence. She is also, and perhaps partly because of her ethereal nature, also an exquisite artist. In this podcast Anna shares how her life has woven her creative work into where she is today: the places she’s been, the teaching experiences, the people she has met, young + old, from all backgrounds, along the way.
Episode 18: Wake Up Code: 11.11
Today is my 40th birthday. It is also 11.11 which sees the energetic portal of awakening open to us all. Today is a day that can support personal transformation, which is further supported by us being in Scorpio season, which opens us to the energies of: resurrection, release, renewal!
In today's episode I have shared some short thoughts on this day, and my feelings moving into a new decade.
Episode 17: Question Everything: A conversation with Cami Buchta
Cami, beyond anyone I know, thrives on curiosity + questioning everything. She is the epitome of a truth seeker, and whilst this can be triggering for some, her goal is to truly help liberate people + support them to seek out their own truth, and live a life that is aligned with that.
Episode 16: Taking back control: The time is now
I had another episode planned for this week: a conversation with a dear friend of mine in America. However, as I sat at my desk today I knew I had something on my heart that felt very important for me to share, and the time had to be now. I am being so guided right now to really call women in to hold hands with me, and one another, to do the work to reclaim our freedom.
Episode 15 : Wake Up: A conversation with Kelly Pietrangeli
Kelly to me is the epitome of what she offers to the world: High Vibe! Since I have known her I have always been inspired by her commitment to her work, her community, and her wish for every woman to find the best version of themselves, and live it with ease. I was so looking forward to sitting in conversation with her, and for me, it didn’t disappoint. I was honoured too that Kelly took this as an opportunity to speak life into her newest offerings, which represent the newly developed version of who she is today, in all her authenticity + truth.
Episode 14 : Curiosity: A conversation with Emma Barfield
Curiosity - this podcast episode had to be named as such, because Emma said the word so often as we spoke. Curiosity has been one of the throughlines of Emma’s life, and it is what has led her into the beautiful work she does today, supporting others to become curious about who they truly are. Supporting them to know their truth in its entirety + stand in complete authenticity around it. You will hear in this conversation why it was that I wanted to bring Emma into this space, and to share with you all. Curiosity should be the buzzword for us all, more than ever right now. It is time to get really frigging curious, and uncover our true potential. The world needs us to show up in a big way, now more than ever.
Episode 13 : Freedom: Standing in authenticity
This week it is me alone, riffing on Freedom: what it means to me, what I think it means to many of you, and how I believe we can work to achieve it, even in this mixed up world right now.
Episode 12 : Two Worlds: A conversation with Vanessa Woozley
It is such a joy to be able to sit in conversation with some of my closest friends in this space. Vanessa is not only a dear friend to me, but a very knowledgeable woman, and a true force for empowering women with the information + tools they need to live truly healthy lives, for themselves + their loved ones.
Episode 11 : Vanilla : A conversation with Tam Veilleux
I love how serendipity leads us to people. I feel like my journey to getting to know Tam is just this. Every guest that I will interview this year, in the first interviews on The Sounds of the Rising, were on my heart to invite from the moment I conceptualised this space. Tam is no exception, and I am so grateful to have had this very deep and meaningful conversation with her. She is an exceptional woman, and she shares her story so vulnerably and powerfully here with us. I hope you enjoy listening.
Episode 10 : Homeopathy 101: A conversation with Claire Zarb
This week I interview Claire Zarb. I have known Claire for eight years now, and have always admired her passion for her work. It is over the last 18 months though that we have personally got closer, through global events + shared beliefs/knowings, and simultaneously, unrelated (as much as things ever are), I have grown a keen interest for homeopathy.
Episode 9: Intuitive Birth: A conversation with Sophia Crawford
When I first came across Sophia on Instagram (there is a story behind that, which I share in the intro) I was immediately in love with the service she brings to this world, to women. Collectively we are rising to bring back the wisdom of the generations who passed before us. The wisdom that the Patriarchal system stole from us, and as such has caused us to be so lost, and has caused humanity to be so out of balance.
Episode 8: Liberation
All me again this week! I had an inkling what I wanted to speak about but literally just the tiniest clue, so what you hear in this episode was as much of a surprise for me as it will be for you. I have listened back and it makes sense (phew!) and I quite enjoyed it (can you say that about your own podcast?!), so I hope you do too.
Episode 7: Feminine + Masculine
Today you have just me. I was sitting in my car last week, riffing a little bit on Instagram about the Feminine and Masculine interplay, and it occurred to me that I couldn’t do it justice in an Instagram story setting (well I could but it would be about a million little dots) and so I said I would instead do an IGTV live the next day. I realised then though that even better, I have a podcast, so I saved it all up for a 45 minute exploration of the topic, alone in my office with my microphone. I enjoyed the process of diving into this topic, my experiences of it, and personal learnings around it at least. I hope you enjoy listening.
Episode 6: Wholehearted: A Conversation with Laura Agar Wilson
I so enjoyed this conversation with Laura. I didn’t know what would come of our time together, because whilst I have known Laura virtually for around a decade now, we have never sat and spoken in the depth in the way we do in this podcast episode.
Episode 5: Slow + Cyclical: A conversation with Jessica Mahle
Jessica holds such a special place in my heart. She is always, without exception, front and centre whenever I tell my story, and I will forever pay homage to the instrumental part she has played in making me the woman I am today. I am so thrilled to share this episode with you. I am sure you will fall in love with Jessica in the same way I did many moons ago now.
Episode 4: Transformation: A conversation with Helen Booth
I met Helen at the only ever networking meeting I have ever been to, just before everything shifted on this planet. I so enjoyed getting to know her that evening, and instantly knew she was someone I wanted to spend more time with. I am grateful to be able to say we have found ways to spend time together since, not least of all for two photo shoots I have done with her, but as yet fully clothed! That will make more sense once you have listened to this episode!
Episode 3: Releasing Shame: A conversation with Sarah Sherr
Just 22 years old, but as wise as, if not more so, many other women I know. When it comes to hearing the sounds of women rising, I knew I had to call upon my cousin Sarah as one of the first women I spoke to. Her insight, her conviction in her truth, inspires me daily. Related through my father, and her mother, we are cousins who have shared so many similar experiences, highlighting so clearly the generational patterns we are here to heal, and are both working individually to do so, with Sarah having achieved so much even at such a young age.
Episode 2: Reclamation: A conversation with Gus Grima
Join me in my first conversation within this space, within the world that is The Sounds of the Rising. I am so delighted to be able to share this discussion with you all. Gus is a woman I love deeply, and I have no doubt you will love hearing her story, her mission + her vision.
Episode 1: Unbinding - My Story
For my first episode, I felt it was important to share with you my personal journey and what led to The Sounds of the Rising coming into existence.
