Simple Sacred Cacao Drink

Keep it simple and pure and let the cacao plant's magic work through your body and soul. Drink in ceremony to yourself, at least once a day! Learn more about the wonders of cacao here.

Gluten free, vegan and refined sugar free

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • 35g cacao paste (I buy mine from Tree Harvest - Peruvian Criollo)

  • 2 cups dairy free milk (I use homemade almond milk)

  • 2 tsp maple syrup (or to taste)

  • A very tiny pinch of sea salt (brings out the cacao’s flavour)

  • A pinch of chili, cinnamon or ginger (probably not all at once, but delicious one at a time - they are also optional)

Instructions:

  1. Warm everything in a pan on a very gentle heat, until the cacao has melted.

  2. Whisk as you go, or blend at the end for an even creamier finish.

  3. Adjust sweetness and spice to taste.
