Energy is the medicine our body understands

Humans have always sought out ways to heal, and had an innate desire to thrive; and for thousands of years the way we did this was to turn to nature. However, from the 1800s onwards this started to change, heightening from the mid-1800s when the focus from symptom management to targeting pathogens became the corner stone of medicine. Today we live in a heavily medicalised world, which focuses on the body as a chemical being, however what science is beginning to learn is that in fact, first and foremost, we are electric bodies.

Across the fields of homeopathy, light therapy, and frequency-based approaches, there is a shared understanding: the body is not a passive vessel but an intelligent, energy-based system, capable of incredible feats when gently guided back to balance.

A Journey Into Homeopathy

I’ll admit, homeopathy wasn’t always something I believed in, which may surprise many of you because I am generally considered (and consider myself) quite “out there” in my approaches. Yet, despite my openness to other modalities, I hadn’t grasped, or perhaps it is better to say, even tried to understand, homeopathy.

As my learning about frequency and our bodies as energetic beings grew, however, so did my openness to homeopathy.

The turning point came when I experienced a homeopathic remedy in action. I had been struggling with a stubborn UTI that lingered for three weeks, leaving me largely bed-bound. After exhausting other options (not including antibiotics, which for me are always an absolute last resort), I turned to homeopathy, not with conviction, but with desperation.

To my surprise, within minutes of taking the remedy, I felt my body shift. The change was profound and undeniable, and my healing continued over the coming days, leaving me open to including homeopathy as a key tool for the physical and emotional well-being of my family.

Suppression vs. Support

One of the most important lessons we can learn as humans who wish to be truly healthy is the cost of suppression. In modern medicine, symptoms like fevers, rashes, or pain are often seen as problems to be “fixed”. But these symptoms are the body’s way of communicating with us; they are signs of healing, not failure.

When symptoms are suppressed rather than addressed, they can linger in the body and manifest later as chronic illness or emotional imbalances. Whether it is through homeopathy, frequency, or light, approaches that support the body rather than suppress it allow true healing to take place.

The Role of Light and Frequency

Homeopathy respects the body’s natural intelligence, and this is the avenue with which light therapy and frequency-based methods also operate. These modern innovations use subtle signals to encourage the body to heal itself.

For example, light therapy leverages specific wavelengths to stimulate biological processes, such as increasing cellular energy or reducing inflammation. Frequency-based therapies, meanwhile, interact with the body’s energy fields to help harmonise systems that feel “out of tune”. Both approaches aim to restore balance, not by overpowering the body, but by working with it.

Healing Beyond the Physical

What I also love about these modalities is how they address emotional well-being alongside physical health. Something I am continuously tuning into on a deeper and deeper level, is how our emotional health, has a direct impact on our physical health. Homeopathy, many may be surprised to learn, works largely on the basis of the profound connection between our emotions and our bodies.

A remedy for grief or shock, for example, doesn’t stop the feeling; it helps the body process it naturally, so it doesn’t become lodged or stuck. I’ve seen this first-hand in myself and others. Energetic medicine has helped children process deep shocks and allowed adults who’ve carried grief for years to finally release and move forward.

Healing is holistic; it’s not just about fixing what we can see but also nurturing what we feel.

An Invitation to Reflect

Through my journey, I’ve learned to reconnect with my intuition. Through my personal experiences, and more profoundly, that which I have witnessed as a mother of two children who I have never medicated with conventional medicines, and who have never been hospitalised, or needed doctor visits, I’ve been reminded of the body’s incredible capacity to guide us, if only we’d pay attention. Healing isn’t always linear, and it doesn’t always look neat. But when we allow the process to unfold, the results can be transformative.

I encourage you this week, if you don’t already, as you go about your day, consider this:

  • How often do you listen to the quieter signals your body is sending you?

  • How might you approach wellness differently if you trusted in your body’s ability to guide itself toward balance?

I was having this exact conversation with a friend yesterday. Everything shifts in how you approach your body being unwell when you trust that it has the resources to heal.

For me, when I notice my body is under stress, I pull back to give it the space and energy it needs to recover. I also support it daily by focusing on:

  • Whole food nutrition

  • Reducing toxins in my environment and on my body

  • Good sleep

  • Clean water without chemicals

  • Time in nature and natural light during the day

  • Blocking blue light at night

  • Protecting my emotional and mental energy from people or situations that do not serve me

  • Exploring past experiences to let go of what’s weighing me down

  • Using homeopathy, frequency, and light technologies to support my body as the energetic system it is

True health is a journey, and it begins when we dare to question the old paradigms and step into a new way of thinking.

If you’re on this journey with me, but haven’t yet explored some of these areas, I encourage you to dive in. And if you have recommendations for other areas I should explore, please let me know; we’re all in this together, and I’m so grateful for this community.
