Gratitude

Gratitude

A few days ago now I saw this amazing video of a group of people who had attended a lecture by Neil Ferguson (the guy who loves to come up with fantastically erroneous models around disease). As I watched these people speak up against what he has done, to his face, and what his cronies continue to do to us all, I initially felt very sad. I cried. I was overwhelmed with emotion. To hear others speak truth, to one of the very people who have perpetuated this madness, just made it even more real to me. We can go about our lives and, at least in the UK right now, where things have not ramped up again yet, we can almost pretend it isn't happening. We know in our hearts it is though, and with the very sad news about care home workers this week, we cannot ever pretend for long. However, to hear these people speak up at this lecture, also filled me with hope, and certainly deep gratitude. To know there are literally millions + millions of people worldwide who see this for what it is, and are speaking up, makes me so grateful to be alive right now. I truly believe we were born for these times, and together we will navigate our way through it. We have each other, and many of us have found each other during these times, and for that I will always be grateful!
